Terms of Service

General Terms 

Country Club Tasmania is a property of the Federal Group. Accommodation and tours are subject to availability, minimum participation requirements and prevailing weather conditions at the time of operation. A tour may be cancelled up to the time of departure if it is the opinion of the tour operator that weather or any other conditions are such that it would be unsafe to conduct the tour. A full refund will be applicable in this event.  

The liability of the Federal Group arising from any cancellations of accommodation or tour bookings by the Federal Group or a third-party tour operator is limited to the amount paid for the cancelled booking. 

Please note, it is highly recommended to have an up-to-date travel insurance policy to cover you in case you are unable to travel when travelling to or around Australia, as cancellation penalties will apply. 

Pets are not allowed. 

Booking Policy 

Reservations require a credit card guarantee with full payment processed to that card 48 hours prior to arrival.* 

Cards accepted include American Express, Visa, Mastercard and Debit Cards. A non-refundable credit card surcharge may be applied. Credit card surcharges will range between 1.26% and 4.4% depending on the card type. By providing credit card details you confirm you have the authority to use the credit card and you authorise the Federal Group to charge the cost of your reservation to that credit card. 

A $200 bond may be taken upon arrival, this can be collected via credit card or cash and will be refunded to you upon check out. Please be aware if paying via credit card the refund may take up to 14 days to be reimbursed to your credit card. 

Country Club Tasmania has a strict NO PARTY POLICY and you agree there is to be no excessive noise or disturbance of other guests. Should Management have to request your noise levels to be reduced, Management reserves the right to terminate your accommodation at any time without any refund of your accommodation or bond.

*Exceptions 

Some special packages/promotions and offers are non-changeable, non-refundable and non-cancellable with full payment required at time of booking and may have minimum stay conditions. These conditions will be listed at the time of booking. 

New Year Period: Full payment must be received at time of reservation for bookings staying between the 30th of December and 1st of January (inclusive).  No cancellations, amendments or refunds are available through this  period. 

Cancellation Policy 

You must cancel at least 48 hours prior to your arrival date (48 hours is calculated from 2pm of the arrival date) to avoid a cancellation penalty of one night’s accommodation fee.

If your reservation requires full pre-payment at the time of booking (which includes some of our special offers and packages) it is non-refundable and will be charged a penalty of the whole accommodation stay. 

No Show Policy
In the event of your (or the booked guest/s) failure to show up on the first day of their reservation (“no show”), the reservation will be cancelled in full and: 

  • In the event that the no-show reservation is a non-cancellable and non-refundable reservation, the property shall retain, the total amount paid upon booking. 
  • If the reservation has a standard 48-hour cancellation policy , the property will charge the credit card provided a No-show penalty of one night’s accommodation fee. Additional nights (beyond the first night) will be cancelled without charge. 
  • the Property will release the room back for  sale. You will not be entitled to any refund or compensation.

Change fee policy 

Reservations where the rate type terms and conditions allow it, may be entitled to a date change for a change fee. A change fee is applicable per date change, must be paid and new date applied at the time of the change. Change is subject to availability; room rate increases may apply and any price decrease will be forfeited. Change fees are non-refundable. A change fee/date change does not apply within 24 hours prior to arrival. 

Accommodation – Extra Guest and Child Policy 

Rates are per room per night based on two-person occupancy in existing bedding. Extra guests are charged $55.00 per person per night for “room only”  in existing bedding or an additional rollaway bed (not available in all room types).

One cot per room is available at $10 per stay. No extra person charge for children 2 & under. 

Accommodation Enhancements 

Enhancements which are preselected and booked are subject to the same reservation booking policy terms and conditions. 

Privacy 

Country Club Tasmania is a property of the Federal Group and is recognised as Tasmania’s leading tourism, entertainment, accommodation and gambling services provider. 

Protecting your privacy and the confidentially of your personal information is fundamental to the way Federal Group does business. Our Privacy Policy explains how Federal Group will manage and protect your personal information.   

Many of our operations allow you to interact with us anonymously, such as our bar, dining, entertainment, retail, tourism, conference and gaming facilities.  

Your personal information is only collected with your consent during the course of providing you with certain goods or services which you request. Examples of personal information may include your name, address, contact details, credit card details, government-issued photo identification reference number, video footage or information about your opinions and what you like.   

The Federal Group is bound by the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the  Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) set out in that Act. The APPs regulate the way we must handle personal information. We are committed to protecting your personal information and believe that our Privacy Policy represents industry best practices.
